Sky Mavis, a team that has processed over $4.3 billion in on-chain volume, is looking for a Web3 Security Engineer. You will be embedded with our engineering team to drive security best practices and ensure the bulletproof safety of all smart contracts we deploy.
What You'll Do
- Perform internal and external assessments of products like games and wallets to ensure the highest level of security before launch.
- Conduct threat modeling, tabletop exercises, and code reviews.
- Ensure smart contracts generate sufficient events to monitor and leverage blockchain monitoring platforms for continuous oversight.
- Maintain and update a runbook of procedures for handling and escalating security incidents.
- Participate in the incident response process to address and resolve smart contract incidents.
- Identify and evaluate new security technologies and tooling to adopt internally.
- Identify security gaps and drive positive change to improve Sky Mavis’ overall security posture.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to identify security gaps in smart contract architecture.
What We're Looking For
- A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Hands-on experience auditing smart contracts.
- Strong knowledge of Solidity.
- Hands-on expertise with blockchain and smart contract security, including the ability to audit Solidity code.
- Familiarity with blockchain monitoring solutions.
- A bias for action, driven to learn, and a top talent mindset.
- Clear communication in English and the capability to build trust across diverse teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve security issues.
Nice to Have
- You are a gamer, an active crypto user, or someone who participates in hackathons on weekends.
- Experience with Python scripting.
- Experience using LLMs.
