Digital Career Institute GmbH is looking for a Web Performance Engineer (w/m/d) to help build a web without loading times by using our Speed Kit product to accelerate customer websites. You will join a mission-driven team focused on making Internet users happier through performance.
What You'll Do
- Analyze customer websites for performance bottlenecks and UX problems.
- Optimize sites' performance using Speed Kit.
- Develop custom frontend solutions to tackle issues like slider frameworks, flicker control, and lazy loading.
- Develop internal and external tooling to empower customers or automate integration processes.
- Monitor existing customers and adjust configurations to maintain optimal performance.
What We're Looking For
- Experience with web basics like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with web performance metrics and experience with performance optimizations.
Technical Stack
- Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Service Worker.
- Testing & Monitoring: Selenium, Browserstack, Jenkins, Puppeteer, WebPagetest, Grafana.
- Data & Analytics: Hex Technologies, AWS Athena, SQL, Python, Pandas, Seaborn, Altair, Vega-Lite, BigQuery.
- Backend & Infrastructure: Java/JVM, Kotlin, Go, Node.js, AWS, MongoDB, Redis, Kubernetes, Fastly, Nginx, Flink, Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, Helm, Varnish.
