LifeWise Academy is seeking Volunteer Substitute Teachers who demonstrate excellence in Biblical knowledge and teaching abilities. You will step in on an as-needed basis to provide continuity for our students, implementing our established curriculum and maintaining our high standards for classroom environment and community representation.
What You'll Do
- Complete substitute teacher training
- Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
- Implement lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
- Maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures
- Follow the program's student discipline policy
- Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher
- Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-ordered classroom
- Know procedures for emergency situations
- Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
- Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties
- Communicate with the teacher
What We're Looking For
- A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
- Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Caring, perceptive, and proficient in teaching students
