Father Ryan High School is hiring a Visual Art Teacher to join our academic community. You will be responsible for supervising students, developing lesson plans, and delivering group instruction within established curriculum guidelines. This role involves collaboration with colleagues and requires a commitment to the mission of Catholic education.

What You'll Do

Supervise students and develop lesson plans.
Deliver group instruction within established curriculum guidelines.
Collaborate with colleagues and respond to inquiries from stakeholders.
Direct and evaluate the learning experiences of students in curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities.
Act as an engaged House System member and be an effective Mentor Group Leader.
Provide students with appropriate academic guidance.
Cooperate and participate in the planning and evaluation of the school program.
Follow the school curriculum guides and diocesan mandates for curriculum.
Take part in the professional development program of the school.
Maintain cordial relationships with colleagues and follow professional ethics.
Create a classroom environment that recognizes and respects the value of each student while exercising appropriate classroom management.
Work in partnership with parents in the ongoing process of educating their child.

What We're Looking For

A master's of Fine Arts or a comparable degree in the field of visual art.
A minimum of two years of teaching experience.
Experience in 2-dimensional art mediums.
Experience in digital art mediums.
A commitment to accept and support the values and principles of Catholic education within the mission of the Church, in an atmosphere of trust, mutual respect, and integrity.
