Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Reimbursement Manager to operate fully remotely, providing critical support to patients, healthcare providers, and internal teams. This role focuses on enabling patient access to prescribed treatments by guiding stakeholders through complex reimbursement systems and resolving coverage obstacles efficiently and compliantly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist healthcare providers with benefits verification, prior authorization submissions, and appeals processes to secure therapy coverage.
  • Collaborate directly with insurance carriers, payers, and third-party administrators to resolve coverage denials and accelerate patient access.
  • Educate providers and patients on insurance benefits, coverage policies, and financial support options.
  • Ensure all activities adhere to federal and state regulations, including HIPAA, as well as internal compliance standards.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of case interactions, payer responses, and resolution outcomes.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align on patient cases and improve access workflows.
  • Share insights on payer trends and coverage barriers to support strategic planning.
  • Deliver training to clinical and commercial teams on reimbursement protocols and payer-specific requirements.
  • Monitor evolving reimbursement policies and adapt processes to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
  • Identify recurring system-level challenges and propose process improvements to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and have at least three years of experience in pharmaceutical reimbursement, patient access, or related account management. Familiarity with benefit design across commercial and government payers is essential, as is knowledge of coding, billing, and prior authorization workflows.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and virtual meeting tools is required. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication abilities and a commitment to patient privacy standards. Willingness to support all U.S. time zones is necessary to ensure continuous service delivery.

Preferred candidates will have academic training in healthcare administration, business, or a related discipline, along with direct experience in pharmaceutical settings or coordination with specialty pharmacies.

Work Environment

This is a fully remote position with flexibility to work from any location within the United States. The role requires engagement across all U.S. time zones as needed to support patients and providers.

Compensation and Benefits
