Derex Technologies Inc is looking for a Viral Short-Form Copywriter to craft high-impact content for personal brands in business, finance, and real estate. You will be the driving force behind scripts and hooks for platforms like Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, working closely with a creative team to build content that captures attention and drives retention.
What You'll Do
- Write and provide feedback on viral hooks and short-form video scripts.
- Analyze retention metrics like watch-time and drop-off, adapting content based on KPI data.
- Develop signature series and recurring formats to build a recognizable style.
- Create all text for videos, including on-screen text, subtitles, hook billboards, titles, and thumbnail text.
- Generate topic and idea lists, translating successful examples into new content.
- Coordinate with social and editing teams to identify winning trends, repeat them, and improve upon them.

- A feedback-driven process to test ideas, seek input, and iterate quickly.
- Strong skills in hook mechanics, pattern interrupts, and 'first 3 seconds' thinking.
- Affinity for numbers and data, with an understanding of retention metrics and creator analytics.

- A basic understanding of video editing concepts like timing, captioning, and B-roll cues.
- Experience or background in the finance or real estate sectors.
