Pacific Fusion is hiring its first in-house Videographer & Producer to define how our mission to build fusion energy shows up visually. This foundational role translates complex fusion technology into accessible visual narratives, helping the world see that what we're building is real and exciting.
What You'll Do
- Tell the engineering story visually by capturing and editing high-quality video footage and still photos of pulser-driven inertial fusion systems.
- Translate nanoseconds, terawatts, and ignition science into accessible visual narratives.
- Own end-to-end production: concept, pre-production, shooting, editing, finishing, and publishing.
- Document key technical demonstrations, module builds, facility groundbreakings, and commissioning moments.
- Shape our employer brand by interviewing engineers, technicians, operators, and leadership.
- Support executive storytelling by filming and producing thought leadership and social media content.
- Support internal communications with multimedia for awards and recognition, and manage company photography.
- Create platform-native content, from short-form social clips to mid-form explainers and longer documentary-style pieces.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, technical, comms, operations, and external affairs teams.
What We're Looking For
- A self-starter who manages your own time, works independently, and liaises directly with leadership and technical teams.
- You see stories unfolding and instinctively start filming or photographing.
- You are fascinated by science and hard tech, eager to document the progress of a first-of-its-kind energy project.
- You can sit in on a technical meeting and think through how to tell a complex story visually without disrupting the conversation.
- You are fluent in video, photography, and editing tools and know how to operate a drone.
- You understand pacing, composition, and documentary-style storytelling.
- You are organized and easily manage timelines, structured file systems, and scalable workflows.
- You are comfortable traveling between California and New Mexico.
- You have a portfolio demonstrating compelling storytelling across product, technology, or hard-tech environments.
