Vention seeks a Senior Mechanical Designer to elevate our technical delivery and client success. In this role, you will coach and support application engineers, review their design work, and provide deep domain expertise in mechanical design, automation, and robotics. You will be instrumental in pre-sale scope validation, cross-team collaboration, and providing field feedback to shape our product roadmap.

What You'll Do

Mentor Application Engineers and contribute to the development of their technical skills and knowledge.
Run brainstorming sessions and technical post-mortems.
Help qualify projects and support the sales team with project feasibility checks.
Review Application Engineers’ machine design, automation system diagrams, and logic workflow.
Take part in the machine’s design for key projects.
Support sales team with client-facing meetings.
Collaborate with our enablement team to prepare and deliver training sessions to engineers.
Put in place references, standards, work methods and best practices.
Support the deployment of machines and after sales activities.
Travel to Client’s site (up to 2x per quarter).
Radiate the Application Engineering team’s needs in the product roadmap and contribute to the development of applications.
Participate in project scoping with Product Line Management, Application Development and Hardware teams.

What We're Looking For

A minimum of 5 years of experience in the OEM or System Integrator field, with experience in a broad range of industrial automation applications (i.e., EOAT, Conveyors, Packaging, Welding, etc.).
A Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any other related engineering field.
Proficiency in German and English.
A track record where your peers look to you for mentorship and support.
A take-charge attitude with a solution-oriented mindset.
A demonstrated strong desire to share your knowledge and elevate your colleagues.
Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments which require handling multiple projects simultaneously.
