About the Role

Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design for automation equipment
- Develop detailed 3D models and 2D technical drawings
- Collaborate with electrical and software engineers on integrated systems
- Ensure designs comply with industry safety standards
- Optimize parts for manufacturability and cost efficiency
- Support prototyping and testing of mechanical components
- Troubleshoot design issues during production
- Refine existing product designs based on feedback
- Work with suppliers to source and qualify mechanical components
- Maintain design documentation and revision control
- Apply engineering principles to solve complex mechanical challenges
- Use CAD software to simulate and validate designs
- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions
- Translate customer requirements into functional designs
- Ensure designs meet environmental and operational durability standards
- Integrate linear motion, pneumatics, and power transmission systems
- Develop custom fixtures and machine guarding solutions
- Support field installations and commissioning when needed
- Drive continuous improvement in design processes
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
- Stay current with advancements in automation and mechanical engineering
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory codes
