Amber is looking for a UX/UI Designer for an 8-12 month remote contract creating delightful games that spark curiosity and joy in young kids. You will partner with a beloved children's entertainment company to bring their brands to life.
What You'll Do
- Champion the child experience and design intuitive user experiences with stunning visual design.
- Conduct market research and apply insights from user research.
- Work with multiple brands to propose personalized and user-friendly solutions.
- Design frictionless and joyful experiences for young players (ages 2 to 8) to explore, learn, and play.
- Bring games to life with dazzling, pixel-perfect interfaces that capture the magic of the brand.
- Create sketches, wireframes, and prototypes for early user testing.
- Design intuitive interactions with a focus on curiosity, discovery, and user engagement.
- Work alongside UX designers, product managers, engineers, and artists to bring your vision to life.
- Use peer feedback and user testing insights to refine and improve your designs and user-friendliness.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional experience in user experience, visual design, marketing, or a related field.
- A portfolio that showcases your expertise.
- Experience in the concept and execution of user experience through simple and playful design, applying UX principles.
- Ability to create beautiful interfaces with a keen eye on details, colors, and typography.
- Collaborate in creating play experiences with a focus on curiosity and discovery.
- Prioritize and meet deadlines, show fantastic attention to detail, and handle ambiguity.
- Excellent verbal and written English, great storytelling, and precise documentation.
- Proficiency in Figma, Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
Nice to Have
- Highly preferred experience in products for kids or educational tech apps.
- Experience with gamification.
- Experience in video and motion graphics design.
