Aretum is looking for a part-time UX Design Specialist to oversee the end-to-end design process using user-centered principles. You will join a team committed to excellence and integrity, applying your skills to create accessible and effective user experiences.
What You'll Do
- Conduct stakeholder and user research, including journey mapping and persona development
- Lead ideation sessions and translate findings into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and accessibility architects
- Ensure designs meet accessibility (Section 508) and usability standards
- Present design concepts and findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- May be called upon to support proposal efforts (e.g., resume formatting, skills alignment summaries, participating in meetings, solutioning)
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of UX design experience in Agile environments
- Demonstrated expertise in the full UCD lifecycle
- Experience designing for Section 508 compliance
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- U.S. Work Authorization (full-time basis, no sponsorship)
Nice to Have
- Proficiency in Figma
- Proficiency in FigJam or similar tools
