Role Overview
This position is for a dedicated User Researcher Consultant who will guide research initiatives from inception through delivery. You'll work independently within diverse, multidisciplinary teams, ensuring that user insights shape every phase of development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement research strategies that inform accessible, impactful services across government and commercial sectors
- Lead end-to-end user research to help agile teams test assumptions, lower risks, and focus on what matters most to users
- Partner closely with product managers, designers, developers, and business analysts to embed user evidence into workflows
- Ensure decisions are consistently driven by data and real-world feedback
- Influence long-term service design and strategic direction through actionable insights
- Champion a user-centred culture within client teams and promote best practices
- Contribute to the growth and quality of the organisation’s research capabilities
- Share knowledge and collaborate with fellow researchers to strengthen collective expertise
