Equinix is looking for a User Experience Designer to join a multi-disciplinary team. You will architect and execute interaction and visual design by drawing on user research, content strategy, and workflow analysis. You'll apply UX methodologies to design engaging interfaces and measure experience quality through research and testing.
What You'll Do
- Plan and administer quantitative and qualitative user research projects.
- Interact with stakeholders to determine requirements and set expectations.
- Create user scenarios and stories to coordinate with other teams.
- Lead user research sessions and analyze results to inform design.
- Design organization, categorization schemas, and navigation structures within information systems.
- Ensure navigational consistency across multiple complementary sites and applications.
- Develop a range of UX deliverables including task flows, IA diagrams, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups.
- Lead, present, and defend design work in reviews with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Research interaction design trends and work cross-functionally to align design language with user needs and brand identity.
- Design and deliver visual mockups, layouts, and specifications for a site or application's look and feel.
- Contribute to and produce design specifications and style guides.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure specifications are understood and implemented.
- Apply critical thinking to complex user problems, balancing user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints.
- Determine prototyping needs based on functional complexity and design visual/interaction components for clickable walkthroughs or code prototypes.
- Socialize prototypes via design reviews or one-on-one usability sessions.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in UX design methodologies, user research, and creating a full suite of UX deliverables.
- Strong skills in structuring information systems, wayfinding, and ensuring consistency across digital products.
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities to work within a multi-disciplinary team and articulate design decisions.
Nice to Have
- 5+ years of experience in a user experience design role.
