Architects and implements interaction and visual design solutions as part of a cross-functional team, applying user research, content strategy, and workflow analysis. Creates prototypes, wireframes, and mockups, conducts usability testing, and ensures clear information architecture and navigation across digital platforms.
Responsibilities
- Plans and manages both quantitative and qualitative user research initiatives
- Supports choosing appropriate research methods to enhance data quality and insights
- Engages with stakeholders to define requirements and align expectations
- Develops user scenarios and narratives to align design with team objectives
- Conducts user research sessions to gather behavioral and attitudinal insights
- Interprets research findings to guide design and product development decisions
- Produces UX materials for use in user focus groups and data gathering activities
- Utilizes user research data when developing UX artifacts and design solutions
- Designs the structure and classification of data within information systems
- Builds navigation frameworks that support effective user wayfinding
- Maintains consistent navigation across related websites and applications
- Organizes and categorizes digital platforms to improve information discovery and management
- Designs information environments that support task efficiency and content accessibility
- Creates a range of UX outputs such as task flows, information architecture diagrams, design explorations, wireframes, and high-fidelity interface mockups
- Leads design reviews by presenting, justifying, and explaining design decisions to peers and stakeholders
- Implements interaction design as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team
- Investigates current trends in interaction design to inform best practices
- Works across departments to develop a unified design language aligned with user needs and brand standards
- Designs and delivers visual layouts and interface specifications including color, shape, and typography
- Contributes to and updates design specifications and style guides, creating new sections as needed
- Partners with development teams to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of design requirements
- Applies analytical thinking to solve complex user challenges while balancing user goals, business needs, and technical limitations
- Assesses when prototyping is necessary based on feature complexity and requirements
- Designs and builds visual and interactive components for use in clickable UI demonstrations or code-based prototypes
- Shares prototypes through design critiques or individual usability sessions to gather feedback
