CAA Club Group was looking for an Underwriting Assistant

Echelon Insurance is looking for an Underwriting Assistant to provide administrative support to our Regional Program Manager and Underwriters. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining service quality and operational efficiency, directly supporting our broker partners and internal underwriting processes.

What You'll Do

  • Map all new business submissions and renewals
  • Enter required information into systems including SIM, Guidewire, Passport, and Bordereau
  • Issue policies according to the underwriters' quotation and instructions
  • Issue endorsements, including terminations and reinstatements, on a timely and accurate basis
  • Prepare files for underwriting review and attach all required documentation
  • Review and respond to all broker requests promptly
  • Identify problematic issues that may affect service and report them to management
  • Provide service consistent with company best practices and national standards
  • Review certificates, losses, and other correspondence and refer to the underwriter where necessary

Nice to Have

  • Post-secondary education in a related field
  • Currently holds or is working towards a CIP designation
