The UI/UX Designer will create and design page layouts and graphics that enhance branding and user experience across media websites. This role requires a blend of creative design, user-centered thinking, and collaboration with product, development, and marketing teams to meet digital goals.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with brand marketing leads, graphic designers, web developers, brand managers, sales leaders, and station staff to support branding and website initiatives.
- Respond to internal inquiries and requests related to website functionality and brand standards.
- Partner with Market Managers and station marketing teams to launch new station web pages, promotions, contests, and websites.
- Use coding skills to implement basic webpage updates and fulfill functional requirements.
- Present design concepts clearly and respond to feedback from colleagues, teams, and leadership.
- Demonstrate in-depth understanding of podcasting platforms to configure and launch new podcast content.
- Collaborate with digital platforms to manage contests and promotional tools, enhancing listener interaction.
- Analyze and interpret web design resources and digital platform documentation to inform design decisions.
- Keep current with evolving design philosophies, tools, and technologies in the web and digital media industries.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal abilities, sound judgment, and a positive, proactive attitude with effective communication across diverse teams.
- Possess knowledge of website platforms to optimize station websites and applications.
- Have a working understanding of computers, software applications, and internet technologies.
- Be skilled in conveying information effectively through visual design and media.
- Be capable of identifying issues and developing practical solutions.
- Must reside in one of the following states: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Tennessee, or Wisconsin.
