Layton Construction Company, LLC (STO Building Group) is hiring a Travel Quality Control Manager to ensure company and customer quality standards are met across our projects. You will maintain quality assurance processes, conduct and supervise tests, and ensure strict compliance with project documents and safety guidelines.
What You'll Do
- Execute comprehensive inspections to align with standards in project plans, specifications, and documentation.
- Foster an environment of cleanliness and enforce stringent safety protocols among staff.
- Devote attention to effecting quality corrective actions to fulfill project requirements.
- Prepare and deliver reports as mandated by project specifications to project managers and clients.
- Uphold meticulous documentation practices to facilitate auditing processes.
- Assure proper calibration and functioning of measuring equipment and arrange repairs.
- Methodically record and document test results in alignment with established protocols.
- Engage in quality calibrations and internal audits.
- Collaborate seamlessly with government agencies during inspection processes.
- Work with project management to ensure projects are executed punctually and within budget.
- Develop project submittals that align with project specifications and plans.
- Perform additional assignments and special projects as directed.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of quality control experience.
- Knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and quality control standards.
- Ability to interpret instructions whether written, spoken, or in a diagram.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- Highly proactive and responsive to internal and external customers.
- Ability to work with all levels of management.
