Radius Limited is hiring a Trainee Telematics & CCTV Installation Engineer for a hands-on hardware response technician role. Your work will be planned into your diary week-by-week, involving direct customer interaction and technical problem-solving at various sites.
What You'll Do
- Respond to daily hardware faults, de-installations, footage retrievals, firmware upgrades, SD card upgrades, fleet check audits, and site weekly visits.
- Visit customer sites, liaise with contacts upon arrival, and repair hardware faults including cameras, monitors, and cables.
- Manage all footage retrieval requests, firmware upgrades, and SD card swaps.
- Act as the primary labor for de-installations, safely removing equipment from customer vehicles and returning it to the workshop.
- Complete required health and safety documentation prior to each repair.
- Ensure the 'Job Sheet' is fully completed and signed by an authorized person before leaving a site.
- Perform allocated work on time, accurately, and with high-quality workmanship.
- Troubleshoot customer queries regarding perceived faulty equipment and suggest effective resolutions.
- Maintain the accuracy of assigned van stock for full accountability and integrity.
- Keep all company equipment secure at all times.
- Successfully perform duties with minimal daily supervision.
- Adhere to all Company policies and guidelines.
- Maintain proactive daily communication with customers and internal teams to ensure resolution and follow-up.
- Focus on customer needs and satisfaction to help become the preferred supplier.
- Engage with team members to keep them informed of outstanding issues with customers.
