Gartner, Inc. is looking for a Test Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will build, execute, and automate test cases to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our products. You will play a key part in driving innovation and integrating modern technologies into our testing frameworks.
What You'll Do
- Develop test plans and strategies, ensuring the development and execution of test cases meet project goals and QA standards.
- Perform functional testing of new requirements and application enhancements.
- Maintain the regression test suite and drive test execution.
- Identify, track, and prioritize defects; collaborate with technical teams to resolve issues effectively.
- Manage the design, execution, and reporting of testing activities, including functional and non-functional testing like performance, database, and API testing.
- Provide clear, detailed status reports and metrics, assessing and mitigating risks to ensure timely delivery.
- Drive innovation and integration of modern technologies into testing frameworks.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in QA, handling all testing activities independently.
- Experience in automation scripting and expertise in JavaScript.
- Experience in estimation, prioritization, and planning of QA activities in a Scrum environment.
- Proficiency in the defect management process.
- Solid experience in SQL queries and database testing.
- Strong attention to detail, end-user quality, and usability.
- Experience in maintaining Test automation frameworks.
- Experience integrating test suites with tools in DevOps/CI/CD pipelines like GIT and Jenkins.
- Self-motivation and excellent problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have
- Graduate or Postgraduate degree in BE/BTech, ME/MTech, or MCA.
- Excellent communication and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work independently or within a team proactively in a fast-paced AGILE-SCRUM environment.
- A mindset of owning success and taking responsibility for the delivery of solutions.
- An ardent desire to continuously improve skills in software development, frameworks, and technologies.
