Action1 is hiring a Test Automation Engineer to ensure the seamless deployment and functionality of our software. In this role, you'll integrate product testing, development, and DevOps efforts, with a focus on automating the testing of application installations and updates.
What You'll Do
- Perform and automate product testing across diverse environments.
- Support existing automation scripts and develop new ones.
- Create and manage virtual test environments.
- Work on the creation, population, and maintenance of third-party application repositories.
- Participate in the preparation and support of software releases.
- Collaborate with the development team on quality initiatives.
- Create and document detailed bug reports in the bug tracker.
What We're Looking For
- Experience designing and developing REST APIs.
- Ability to use developer consoles like DevTools in browsers.
- Proficiency with API testing tools.
- Strong knowledge of Selenium or Playwright, XPath, and CSS selectors.
- Excellent knowledge of Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, and Bash.
- Familiarity with IDE tools for development and debugging.
- Knowledge of SQL and an understanding of database principles.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Windows OS, MacOS, and Linux.
- Understanding of the principles of application installation and upgrading.
- Ability to work with software installers through the command-line interface (CLI).
