About the Role
The technician will provide on-site maintenance and troubleshooting for animatronic displays, responding to malfunctions and performing scheduled servicing to ensure operational integrity.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in animatronic figures
- Perform field repairs and component replacements as needed
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on robotic systems
- Follow safety protocols when handling high-voltage equipment
- Document service activities and parts usage
- Respond to emergency service calls during events
- Calibrate motion controls and sensors for realistic movement
- Collaborate with event staff to minimize downtime
- Transport tools and replacement parts to job sites
- Adhere to manufacturer specifications during repairs
- Inspect wiring, pneumatics, and control boards
- Troubleshoot software-driven malfunctions
- Assemble animatronic units at installation sites
- Test systems post-repair for functionality and safety
- Communicate technical issues to supervisors clearly
Compensation
Hourly rate commensurate with experience
