Amat is looking for a Technical Writer II to develop, write, and edit material for technical sales and marketing documents. You will work with limited supervision, documenting production, development, and experimental activities for Applied Materials.
What You'll Do
- Develop, write, and edit material for technical sales and marketing documents including system manuals, operation instructions, reports, briefs, and proposals.
- Observe production, developmental, and experimental activities to determine operating procedures.
- Interview production and engineering personnel to become familiar with product technologies and production methods.
- Interact with engineering, Global Product Support (GPS), and Applied Global Services (AGS) to develop and update documentation.
- Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, part lists, specifications, mock-ups, and product samples to integrate and delineate technology, operating procedure, and detail.
- Control tasks to ensure technical documentation is reviewed on time.
- Review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of reproduction.
- Drive suppliers to deliver documentation on time.
