Mujin is hiring a Senior Technical Writer to make complex technical information understandable and usable. At Mujin, we are revolutionizing industrial robotic systems, enabling them to take on advanced tasks with perception and awareness. In this role, you will focus on writing clear, user-friendly documentation for our technical products, systems, and processes.
What You'll Do
- Work with developers, engineers, and other technical staff to ensure documentation reflects current processes and product functionality.
- Write user manuals, how-to guides, integration guides, API documentation, and system operation instructions.
- Determine an effective structure and layout for complex manuals and other technical documentation.
- Conduct research and liaise with technical staff to ensure accurate interpretation of complex technical data, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure appropriate technical content and terminology review occurs and that provision is made for the incorporation of updates and revisions.
- Edit content to improve clarity, impact, flow, meaning, and readability.
- Develop schedules and plans for documentation projects, ensuring timely delivery.
- May conduct usability testing to ensure documentation meets user needs.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in English, communication, journalism, or a STEM field is preferred.
- 4+ years of relevant work experience.
- Familiarity with software, hardware, or engineering concepts relevant to our industry.
- Experience with documentation tools, content management systems, and publishing software.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear, concise language for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong attention to detail.
Nice to Have
- Robotic technology industry experience.
