Mondoo is hiring a Technical Writer who brings clarity, depth, and storytelling to our product documentation and technical blogs. You will translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging content that helps customers and supports marketing efforts.
What You'll Do
- Own technical content creation: write detailed documentation, public guides, product tutorials, and technical deep dives.
- Drive product storytelling: explain how and why Mondoo works, translating new product capabilities into content for IT security teams.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to stay on top of what’s shipping and how best to explain it to technical audiences.
- Support and collaborate with Marketing as the bridge between technical product understanding and marketing needs for advanced, security-focused content.
- Contribute to technical content strategy: help shape the direction and structure of Mondoo’s technical content.
- Experiment with formats: contribute to blog posts, video scripts, product explainers, or other content that helps customers understand and adopt Mondoo.
- Think docs, but beyond docs: shape how we tell our technical story end-to-end.
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years experience in a technical writing or technical content creation role.
- Excellent writing skills: able to create clear, structured, and engaging content for technical audiences.
- A product mindset: think in terms of user experience and customer needs, and be curious about how things work under the hood.
- Technical expertise: familiar with and can help create content for deeply technical tools, not shying away from the CLI or working in repos.
- Comfort collaborating across functions: especially product, engineering, and marketing, as well as customer-facing engineering.
Nice to Have
- Preferably experience in a cybersecurity start-up.
Team & Environment
Work closely with engineers, product managers, and marketing.
