Join our Segment Technical Support Engineering team as a Level 2 professional. We're seeking a technically skilled engineer passionate about customer success and problem-solving in a dynamic startup environment. This role demands versatility across multiple programming languages, web frameworks, APIs, data infrastructures, and analytical tools. Daily challenges involve supporting diverse customer integration scenarios, from web and mobile data consolidation to complex backend analytics implementations. Technical Support Engineers primarily resolve customer technical challenges, provide methodological guidance, and utilize platforms like Zendesk for communication. Beyond immediate issue resolution, the role involves enhancing documentation, developing scalable resources, and proactively improving customer experiences. You'll collaborate with dedicated professionals committed to exceptional customer, partner, and community service. Our team values intelligence, quality, and collaborative problem-solving. Responsibilities include: - Supporting Segment's API across web, mobile, and server platforms - Maximizing value from multiple destination integrations - Maintaining precise ticket documentation - Incorporating customer feedback for improved strategies - Creating internal and public documentation - Developing advanced support tooling - Collaborating with product teams - Mastering Segment's platform functionality - Participating in enterprise customer support rotations Required Qualifications: - 2+ years technical customer support experience - Effective technical communication skills - Proven client-side JavaScript expertise - API and server-side language proficiency - Basic SQL query capabilities - Commitment to learning complex technical products - Availability for occasional out-of-hours support Desired Attributes: - Zendesk familiarity - SQL experience - Code comprehension skills Location: Remote position in specific Indian states (Karnataka, Maharashtra, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, New Delhi) Occasional travel might be required for team collaboration.
