Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Technical Project Manager to drive complex, high-impact technology initiatives. In this role, you will coordinate cross-functional teams including engineers, DevOps, QA, and product owners to deliver robust solutions on time and within budget, blending technical fluency with strategic oversight.
What You'll Do
- Lead full project lifecycle from planning to execution, ensuring timely delivery within defined scope and budget.
- Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, QA, and product teams to define project requirements and success metrics.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, sprint backlogs, and resource allocations using tools like JIRA or Confluence.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and product demos.
- Proactively identify project risks, define mitigation strategies, and manage interdependencies.
- Serve as the primary communication channel for stakeholders, providing clear updates on status, issues, and timelines.
- Oversee the creation and upkeep of technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct post-project reviews and implement learnings to refine project delivery processes.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience managing technical projects, ideally in Agile environments.
- Hands-on experience with project management tools like JIRA, Trello, or Asana.
- Solid understanding of SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, and software release processes.
- Proven ability to lead distributed, cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have
- Preferred certifications: PMP, CSM, or SAFe.
- Bonus: prior experience as a developer or systems engineer, and familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
