Keyrock is hiring a Technical Product Manager to serve as the internal, central hub for core services and automation that support our trading business units. You will bridge the gap between idea and implementation with a focus on non-trading teams, translating complex needs into tangible, working prototypes. This is a highly technical, hands-on role for a builder at heart.
What You'll Do
- Turn the goals of central technology teams into a clear roadmap.
- Run regular meetings with central technology teams, product, engineering, and architecture leaders to find problems early and spot improvement chances.
- Assess technology needs and make buy vs build decisions using clear data.
- Quickly build working models and functional prototypes to test new ideas.
- Be the initial product & tech contact for business operations and back-office teams.
- Explain technology plans in simple terms to diverse audiences.
- Design and build first versions of new solutions to see how they fit into existing systems.
- Actively test new and emerging technologies to assess real-world value.
- Create metrics to track the success and impact of new ideas and products.
- Find ways to make operations run more smoothly and cost-effectively.
- Help the company adopt best practices for managing and reducing cloud spending.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in a tech operations, software development, or data engineering role.
- Strong portfolio and comfort writing code, building data pipelines, and integrating systems.
- Demonstrated track record of transitioning from a purely technical role to one with product ownership responsibilities.
- Ability to translate complex problems into simple, functional prototypes.
- Driven to build first and prove value through working software.
- Excellent communicator, able to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, capable of managing projects from ideation to initial implementation with high autonomy.
Nice to Have
- Prior exposure to financial contexts, market data, and time series data manipulation.
- Experience in fintech, trading, or quantitative finance.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Hands-on experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
- 3+ years of experience working directly in a financial services context (e.g., proprietary trading, asset management, market making).
- A strong grasp of the technologies underpinning recent AI developments (e.g., transformer architectures, retrieval-augmented generation and MCP).
Team & Environment
You will work in close coordination with the VP of Product, and in support of the COO office and VP of Engineering. You will report directly to the VP of Product.
Benefits & Compensation
- Be at the forefront of innovation in digital assets.
- Work on challenging problems with a direct impact on the business.
- A competitive salary package, with various benefits depending on the method of engagement (employee or freelancer).
- Autonomy in your time management thanks to flexible working hours.
- The opportunity to work remotely.
- The freedom to create your own entrepreneurial experience by being part of a team of people in search of excellence.
