Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Technical Business Analyst to serve as the bridge between business needs and technical solutions. You will define, prioritize, and deliver critical features across a digital platform that impacts thousands of users. This role involves analyzing complex requirements and ensuring product development aligns with our strategic goals.
What You'll Do
- Gather, document, and prioritize detailed business and technical requirements from departments like Marketing, Finance, and Operations.
- Develop and manage a well-structured backlog of epics and user stories that clearly define scope for the engineering team.
- Act as a technical liaison between stakeholders and developers, ensuring alignment on features, expectations, and timelines.
- Validate functionality against acceptance criteria before deployment and support release activities.
- Contribute to roadmap planning and support enterprise-level system design and rollouts.
- Provide clear, timely updates on project status, risks, and resolutions across teams and leadership.
- Partner with engineers to ensure consistent progress through sprints and development cycles.
- Support process improvements and system enhancements that benefit both customers and internal teams.
- Help foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or at least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar technical or analytical role.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience translating business needs into functional requirements and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with SDLC and agile practices, including backlog management, sprint planning, and using tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Strong SQL and JSON skills; ability to query databases and interpret structured data formats.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting quickly to shifting priorities.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the ski/resort industry or interest in outdoor recreation.
