DevDocs is looking for a Technical Architect to play a central role in our technical evolution. This is a deeply collaborative and hands-on position where you’ll sit at the intersection of engineering, product thinking, and business direction, helping translate vision into reality.
What You'll Do
- Work hands-on in the codebase, contributing directly to core systems
- Help shape and evolve our technical architecture as products and ideas take form
- Partner closely with leadership to translate business direction into technical decisions
- Explore and reason through complex systems, even when documentation is incomplete
- Help the team think clearly about tradeoffs, sequencing, and long-term implications
- Use modern tools (including AI) to explore ideas, accelerate understanding, and improve how we build
What We're Looking For
- Experience building full-stack systems using tools such as Next.js, React, TypeScript, Python, Postgres, and graph-oriented data models
- A history of designing or evolving systems where requirements were unclear or changing
- The ability to move fluidly between code, architecture discussions, and business conversations
- A track record of being the person others turn to when the system feels messy and needs clarity
- A demonstrated tendency to take ownership because you care, not because you were told to
