BJAK is seeking a Tech Recruiter to own full-cycle recruitment for technical roles across China and Southeast Asia. In this remote role, you will be responsible for the entire hiring process, from sourcing to close, in a fast-paced, execution-focused environment.
What You'll Do
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for key technical roles: software engineering, backend, AI/ML, DevOps, and more.
- Proactively source top candidates through China-relevant platforms like Boss直聘 (Boss Zhipin), Maimai, Liepin, Lagou, GitHub, LinkedIn, and WeChat groups.
- Conduct structured phone screens and assess for real skills and alignment.
- Partner closely with hiring managers to shape effective interview plans and drive accountability.
- Monitor key hiring metrics: time-to-fill, drop-off rate, candidate aging, and conversion rate.
- Push hiring processes forward by identifying bottlenecks early and resolving them fast.
- Ensure clear, timely communication with candidates and internal stakeholders.
- Deliver a consistent, human-first candidate experience, even in high-urgency scenarios.
- Stay informed on market benchmarks, talent movements, and regional hiring trends.
- Represent BJAK professionally in the Chinese market and build candidate trust.
What We're Looking For
- Deep understanding of the China tech recruitment landscape and how to compete for top talent.
- Experience using China-specific sourcing platforms and strategies.
- Fluent in English, with confidence in speaking, reading, and writing.
- Strong ownership mindset, treating roles as a personal responsibility, not task handoffs.

- Clear communicator who can work independently and influence decisions across remote teams.
- Comfortable in a fast-moving, outcome-oriented environment where speed matters.
- 2-4 years of experience in full-cycle tech recruitment, ideally within China’s tech or startup space.
- Proven ability to fill engineering or product roles in competitive markets.
- Strong sourcing capabilities across Chinese and international platforms.
- Familiarity with ATS platforms and structured recruitment processes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to align hiring priorities.
- Based in China and able to work effectively with remote teams across Asia.
Nice to Have
- Experience hiring for backend, AI, or platform engineering roles.
- Familiarity with startup or scale-up tech environments.
- Exposure to cross-border hiring or Southeast Asian markets.
- Understanding of structured interviewing, assessment frameworks, or technical screening tools.
- Knowledge of hiring trends and talent mobility in China.
