Start.io is seeking a Tech Lead Data Engineer for a high-impact project integrating a trading platform into the European Power portfolio. In this key leadership role, you will combine deep technical expertise with strong stakeholder management to guide a team and deliver scalable data solutions.

What You'll Do

Lead the technical direction and design of data integration solutions for the European Power trading platform.
Guide and mentor a team of Data Engineers, providing technical oversight and best practices.
Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python, Databricks, and Azure Functions.
Design and manage real-time data streaming solutions using Apache Kafka.
Ensure high standards in data architecture, quality, and governance.
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and trading teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Drive innovation and continuous improvement across the data engineering stack.
Own the end-to-end delivery of complex data projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in a Tech Lead or Senior Data Engineer role within energy trading, commodities, or financial services.
