CHECK24 Vergleichsportal Verbraucherdienstleistungen Österreich GmbH is hiring a Team Leader for Fullstack Software Development for Search & AI Services. You will lead a team responsible for building scalable, high-performance solutions for search APIs, service-MCPs, and frontends, making search faster and more relevant for users. The role combines technical leadership, architectural decision-making, and operational responsibility within a dynamic environment that merges market leadership with a startup's agility.
What You'll Do
- Take responsibility for the architecture, code quality, and stable operation of our search systems.
- Develop scalable, performant solutions for the Search API, service-MCPs, and frontends from architecture through to go-live.
- Guide and develop MLOps Engineers professionally and ensure the cloud infrastructure is sustainable and scalable.
- Identify and evaluate new approaches, tools, and frameworks, bringing innovative solutions into production.
- Work closely with product management, BI/ML teams, and product teams to create a consistent user experience.
- Take strategic and operational leadership of the team, fostering development through coaching, feedback, and supporting personal growth.
What We're Looking For
- Proven fullstack expertise with solid knowledge in frontend (React, JavaScript) and solid experience in at least one backend language (e.g., PHP, Golang, Python).
- Solid foundation in AWS cloud infrastructure and a commitment to continuous development in this area.
- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code like Terraform or CloudFormation, container orchestration, and serverless approaches.
- Experience mentoring and providing technical leadership, setting clear technical priorities, and actively participating in full-stack development.
- Experience with complex systems, APIs, and building performant applications.
- Secure handling of CI/CD processes, monitoring, security, and cloud and on-premise infrastructures.
- Very good German language skills (C1/C2) and good English skills.
