Johnson Controls Inc. is hiring a Team Leader - Chillers to lead a team focused on the service business for chillers. In this role, you will drive operational excellence, manage customer accounts, and support business development while maintaining a strong technical, hands-on capability.
What You'll Do
- Drive operational excellence for the service business of the Chiller team.
- Be responsible for the maintenance, retrofit, and repair of York Chillers.
- Lead the activities of Technicians, Apprentice Trades Persons, and subcontractors in delivering quality service.
- Fulfill responsibilities of Senior Service Technician, including preventive maintenance, installation, commissioning, and general servicing.
- Act as liaison between the customer and Johnson Controls to build long-term working relationships.
- Perform service project management within the branch, assisting with scheduling, estimating, manpower analysis, material logistics, and establishing performance standards.
- Manage customer accounts and support business development.
- Support the Service Team Manager with general operations.
What We're Looking For
- Degree or equivalent from a Technical/Trade School with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning and five (5) years related experience; or seven (7) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team.
- Proven management skills in achieving results, including financial, goal setting, planning, and review.
- Demonstrates strong technical subject matter expertise.
- Sound commercial and business acumen.
- Excellent negotiating skills with the objective of achieving WIN/WIN outcomes.
- Excellent initiative and interpersonal communications skills both in writing and verbally.
- Current right to work in Australia.
