Equip Health is hiring a Team Lead, Software Engineering

Equip Health is seeking a Team Lead, Software Engineering to create and lead a new engineering team. You'll blend technical leadership with management responsibilities, focusing on culture, product development, and empowering your team.

What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Design and plan application engineering projects.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance to your team.
• Maintain subject matter expertise in Equip's information systems and data.
• Champion engineering best practices (version control, testing, documentation, logging, continuous integration) and data quality standards.
• Monitor key quality metrics and identify opportunities for improvements in our pipelines and infrastructure.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality work within expected timelines.
• Partner with technical stakeholders to optimize the flow of data across systems.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or similar field; or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of engineering leadership experience.
• 8+ years of overall developer experience.
• Proven experience designing and building mobile applications in iOS and Android.
• Experience growing and managing teams of engineers.
• A strong engineering background: building business-specific systems that other engineering teams use in a scaling company.
• Good product sense and experience working closely with customers.
• Experience building large-scale applications with well-defined architectures.
• Ability to work Eastern or Central time zones (9-5 ET or 8-4 CT).

Nice to Have

• Experience with the technology stack: Java, JavaScript, React, React Native, PostgreSQL, AWS services, Git, Github.
• Experience developing products.
• A mix of scrappy startup and big company experience.
• Experience with healthcare data and/or previous experience working in healthtech.
