St. Patrick Catholic Preschool is hiring a part-time Teacher Aide for the 2026-2027 school year. In this role, you will support the lead teacher in providing developmentally appropriate early childhood education experiences rooted in Catholic values.

What You'll Do

Support the Teacher in the execution of developmentally appropriate early childhood education experiences with a variety of materials in the areas of religion, art, music, literacy, science, and mathematics.
Assist in supervising activities which promote the health, emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of each child consistent with Diocesan goals and objectives.
Provide and maintain a neat, safe, organized classroom; assists in taking responsibility for upkeep of all educational equipment and material.
Help children establish good habits of toileting and personal hygiene; changing diapers is required in our 2-year-old classroom.

What We're Looking For

Must be a practicing Catholic with a knowledge of Catholic prayers, holidays, and teachings.
Ability to organize and coordinate work with teacher.
Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
Ability to engage in self-evaluation regarding performance and professional growth.
Professionalism expected in attire, communication, and demeanor.
You will be required to complete the Safe Environment requirements of the Rockford Diocese Virtus Online program.
You will be required to complete CPR/First Aid training.
