Aetos Systems is hiring a Systems Administrator & Security Specialist

This role is responsible for managing and securing enterprise IT systems with a focus on cloud infrastructure, compliance, and data protection. You will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of critical systems while maintaining alignment with federal cybersecurity requirements.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of IT infrastructure, including deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and incident response.
  • Lead coordination with managed service providers to ensure system integrity, compliance, and operational continuity.
  • Design and implement role-based access controls within Azure cloud environments to enforce security and data governance.
  • Manage user provisioning, authentication, and remote access across Microsoft 365 GCC and associated platforms.
  • Drive CMMC compliance efforts, including readiness assessments, documentation, and ongoing program sustainment.
  • Develop and maintain System Security Plans, POA&Ms, and security policies to support audit and accreditation processes.
  • Structure and govern SharePoint environments, defining data storage policies and access protocols.
  • Verify the effectiveness of backup and recovery procedures through regular audits and testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field; professional certifications may substitute for formal education.
  • Minimum of 5 years in systems administration with cloud, networking, and enterprise systems, or 3 years focused on cybersecurity compliance.
  • U.S. citizenship required to meet background investigation and Top-Secret clearance eligibility.
  • Must pass initial and recurring random drug testing.
  • Proven experience with Azure AD, Microsoft 365 GCC, SharePoint, Teams, endpoint protection, and backup solutions.
  • Hands-on knowledge of SSPs, POA&Ms, and compliance documentation.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation and system hardening is strongly preferred.
