Responsibilities
- Manage daily administration and operational support for designated infrastructure platforms and services.
- Process, update, and resolve ServiceNow tickets such as service requests, incidents, and change tasks according to client standards and service expectations.
- Provide Unix and Linux server support, including user account management, configuration adjustments, system provisioning and retirement, performance monitoring, and issue resolution for non-operational services.
- Deliver VMware server support by provisioning and retiring virtual machines, implementing approved configuration updates, resolving Tier 2 and Tier 3 virtualization problems, and collaborating with storage, networking, and application teams as required.
- Maintain backup and archiving systems through routine maintenance, policy management, patching, and resolving related service requests and incidents.
- Support messaging platforms by managing mailboxes, diagnosing user and service issues, monitoring system performance, and responding to tickets via the ServiceNow platform.
- Assist in deploying approved patches, system upgrades, maintenance activities, and security fixes during designated maintenance windows.
- Keep detailed and accurate records in tickets, status reports, and operational logs to support weekly reporting and service transparency.
- Create or revise technical documentation, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides for supported technologies as assigned through ServiceNow.
- Communicate clearly and effectively in writing and speech with both technical teams and management on issue status, challenges, and resolution steps.
- Engage in transition planning, knowledge sharing, and ongoing support tasks to maintain uninterrupted service delivery.
