About the Role
The engineer will design, implement, and maintain hybrid cloud solutions, working across infrastructure and application teams to deliver resilient and efficient systems using DevOps principles and cloud-native technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design and manage hybrid cloud environments integrating on-premises data centers with public cloud platforms
- Implement infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and operational workflows to improve system reliability
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to support application deployment and performance
- Maintain security and compliance standards across cloud and on-prem systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues across cloud platforms and data centers
- Optimize cloud resource usage to balance performance, cost, and scalability
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning for cloud systems
- Integrate monitoring and alerting tools to ensure system health and availability
- Participate in incident response and post-incident reviews
- Ensure adherence to IT governance, risk, and compliance policies
- Work with identity and access management systems across hybrid environments
- Manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes or similar orchestration platforms
- Support migration of legacy systems to cloud-native architectures
- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry best practices
- Document system configurations, processes, and operational runbooks
- Collaborate on capacity planning and infrastructure lifecycle management
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery
- Assist in evaluating and selecting cloud service providers and tools
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
