Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy and execution of consumer lending initiatives
- Oversee portfolio performance and credit risk management
- Develop and launch new lending products tailored to customer needs
- Manage a team of lending professionals and support staff
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align goals
- Ensure compliance with federal and state lending regulations
- Monitor market trends and adjust strategies accordingly
- Set departmental goals and track key performance metrics
- Present reports and forecasts to executive leadership
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field required
- Advanced degree or professional certification preferred
- Minimum of 10 years in consumer lending or financial services
- Proven leadership experience in a lending environment
- Strong understanding of credit underwriting principles
- Experience managing P&L for lending portfolios
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements including Dodd-Frank and TILA
- Track record of delivering consistent portfolio growth
- Advanced analytical and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience with digital lending platforms
- Background in retail banking or credit union operations
- Familiarity with loan servicing systems
- History of managing remote or hybrid teams
- Involvement in process improvement initiatives
