Responsibilities
- Supervising checking and testing of survey equipment and software prior to project
- Coordinating and managing the mobilisation of survey equipment and software on vessel
- Must have a full understanding of the flow of data from the calibration at the project mobilization, through the logging and quality control of all data
- Development of project procedures and assist in project preparation
- Management of project work scope and adhering to the contractual aspects of the project offshore
- Manage, provide guidance and supervise the Offshore survey team
- Ensure the work is performed with adequate equipment and personnel
- Ensure all personnel meet the company requirements for operational capability, competence, health, and safety
- Communicate, on a daily basis, with the Project Manager
- Liaising with client representatives and senior vessel/ROV crew
- Manage subcontractor’s field team
- Responsible for carrying out offshore appraisals and encouraging / ensuring team development
- Accountable for delegation of responsibility in accordance with company procedures, when appropriate
- Must complete daily/end of project reporting
- Responsible for Offshore QHSE
- Implement and maintain survey standards throughout offshore operations
- A full appreciation of the survey deliverables is required so that on completion of a project, all data will be backed up and submitted to the Project Manager/Onshore team in the agreed DOF Subsea formats
- Liaise with the Project Manager to ensure a complete understanding of the commercial impact of all decisions made offshore
