Responsibilities
- Oversee production schedules and inventory planning across product variants and suppliers.
- Monitor purchase orders from initiation through to final delivery.
- Collaborate with demand forecasting teams to synchronize manufacturing with projected needs.
- Track inventory levels and identify potential risks such as shortages, excess stock, or delays.
- Ensure inventory is prepared and available for new product introductions and critical deadlines.
- Work with internal teams to guarantee timely and accurate purchase order generation.
- Maintain and update the item master database to ensure SKU information is correct.
- Align product setup, cost data, and manufacturing requirements across systems.
- Act as the main liaison for external manufacturing partners and suppliers.
- Manage communication with vendors, including timelines and deliverable tracking.
- Monitor pricing updates, minimum order quantity changes, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Enforce vendor compliance with production deadlines, schedules, and quality standards.
- Keep detailed records of costs including COGs, shipping, tariffs, and total landed expenses.
- Analyze cost variations and detect potential risks or areas for savings.
- Assist in evaluating profit margins and adjusting pricing as needed.
- Coordinate incoming freight via air, ocean, and domestic transport methods.
- Manage relationships with freight forwarders and oversee shipment planning.
- Track shipments from origin to destination and resolve delays quickly.
- Verify shipping documents are correct and complete upon submission.
- Schedule warehouse drop-offs and oversee inbound logistics operations.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers on receiving timelines and execution.
- Monitor and report discrepancies, damaged goods, and receiving errors.
- Support inventory audits and resolution of stock variances.
- Maintain up-to-date tracking systems for purchase orders, production, shipments, and stock levels.
- Deliver regular updates on supply chain performance metrics and cost trends.
