As a Success Engineer, you will be the central technical point of contact for key customers after sale, guiding them from initial deployment through scaled adoption. Your expertise ensures organizations are technically prepared, operationally aligned, and positioned to achieve measurable outcomes using OpenAI’s platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the trusted technical advisor for enterprise accounts, managing the health and progress of deployments across diverse environments.
- Lead technical onboarding, configuration, and enablement sessions tailored to customer workflows and objectives.
- Collaborate with customer teams to map processes, uncover pain points, and validate high-impact use cases for AI integration.
- Develop clear adoption roadmaps with defined milestones, KPIs, and sequencing to align technical execution with business goals.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with architecture, product, engineering, and research teams to resolve blockers and surface real-world feedback.
- Facilitate workshops on best practices, internal champion development, and use case design to accelerate internal adoption.
- Measure and report on impact by establishing baselines, tracking performance, and demonstrating value post-deployment.
- Identify opportunities for platform expansion by connecting customer needs to emerging capabilities.
- Advise on optimal account setup, model selection, API integration, and fine-tuning strategies to improve performance and scalability.
Qualifications
- 8+ years in technical customer-facing roles, including technical account management, enterprise SaaS adoption, or GenAI consulting.
- Deep familiarity with OpenAI’s tools, APIs, SDKs, embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation, and fine-tuning methodologies.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into strategic business insights for both technical and executive audiences.
- Proven experience leading multi-threaded technical deployments in large, complex organizations.
- Strong program management skills with a track record of delivering results in fast-evolving environments.
- Comfort engaging at all levels—from developers to C-suite—while maintaining technical depth and strategic vision.
- Demonstrated ownership in driving customer success, troubleshooting adoption challenges, and optimizing technical implementations.
