Suffolk University is hiring a Student Employment Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the administration of Federal Work-Study and internal student employment programs in alignment with federal, state, and university guidelines
  • Manage the lifecycle of student job postings, hiring workflows, and onboarding procedures
  • Process student employee appointments efficiently, even during peak hiring cycles
  • Act as the main point of contact for academic and administrative departments that hire students; offer supervisor training and support
  • Track student worker eligibility, earned wages, and financial aid award usage
  • Work with senior financial aid leadership to align payroll and financial aid data systems
  • Partner with Human Resources and Payroll units to maintain accurate student employment records and wage payments
  • Create, update, and communicate policies and procedures related to student employment
  • Guide students on job search methods, employment qualifications, and professional conduct expectations
  • Collect and analyze program metrics to generate reports for internal review and external compliance
  • Assist in audits and evaluations concerning student employment and Federal Work-Study programs
  • Advance equitable access to jobs and contribute to student success programs
