Rewards Network is looking for a Strategic Account Manager to be the main business contact and resource for existing restaurant owners in the Detroit, MI region. This role ensures client satisfaction, retention, and contract renewals while identifying upsell opportunities. You’ll report to the Regional Sales Managers and spend significant time in the field visiting clients.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with Account Executives to identify accounts for renewal and upsell opportunities.
- Manage current clients effectively to reduce attrition.
- Conduct welcome appointments and ensure a smooth onboarding to Rewards Network's platform.
- Contact existing clients to qualify them for merchant cash advance products, meeting monthly targets.
- Build meaningful relationships with Account Executives to help retain, renew, and upsell clients.
- Confirm business information on our websites is accurate, working with the internal Client Content team.
- Review business intelligence reporting tools, providing insights and consulting on solutions to grow client business.
- Spend significant time in the field within your assigned geography, visiting at least 12 restaurants/clubs/bars per week for business review meetings.
What We're Looking For
- A high school diploma or GED and 3-5 years of Account Management experience; or an Associate's degree and 2 years of related experience.
- Previous Account Management or client service experience with a focus on high-touch customer service.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Technical proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing, growth-oriented environment with regularly changing priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain complex reporting clearly.
- Solid teamwork, judgment, presentation, mathematical, and decision-making skills.
- Attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and self-motivation.
- Ability to work independently and respond with flexibility.
- Willingness to spend considerable time in the field meeting with restaurant, club, and bar clients each week.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
Nice to Have
- A Bachelor's Degree.
- Experience using a CRM system like Salesforce; AS400 experience is preferred but not required.
