WellSky is looking for a Staff Software Engineer - .NET to lead the full software development lifecycle for impactful software solutions serving the Hospice and Palliative team. You will be responsible for building and optimizing comprehensive solutions that prioritize end-user efficiency and experience.

What You'll Do

Lead the design and architecture of major systems and services, ensuring solutions are scalable, reliable, maintainable, and aligned with business needs.
Collaborate with solution managers, engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to define and prioritize technical requirements.
Collaborate with teams to ensure sustained quality and reliability of software solutions and act as a go-to expert by identifying and resolving complex, high-priority issues.
Actively contribute to code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and provide technical guidance to other engineers.
Drive innovation by evaluating and implementing new technologies, methodologies, and AI capabilities to improve team efficiency and software performance.
Ensure code meets functional and performance requirements, advocate for high-quality software, and ensure rigorous testing processes.
Leverage AI tools and platforms as an integral part of daily responsibilities to enhance decision-making and streamline workflows.
Perform other job duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
At least 8-12 years of related work experience.
Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.
Advanced knowledge of .NET and C# for backend development.
Practical experience using Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform.
Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform.
Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD workflows using Azure DevOps.
Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms (NewRelic - preferred, Splunk, Datadog).
Deep expertise in microservices architecture and system design.
Understanding of Postgres database architecture, performance tuning and query optimization.
Experience working in Agile Scrum environments.

Nice to Have

Experience building and maintaining applications using Ruby on Rails.
Background in the healthcare sector.
Familiarity with App Services.
Strong customer support and communication skills.
Demonstrated success as a technical leader.
