MLabs is hiring a Staff Software Engineer (Backend) to build the core orchestration engine that allows autonomous AI employees to think, act, and evolve. You will own major portions of a platform that replaces an entire enterprise sales stack within a single product.
What You'll Do
- Design and build high-throughput AI pipelines to process millions of signals and make real-time decisions.
- Build and scale infrastructure for email deliverability, inbox management, and complex AI coordination.
- Design, build, deploy, and monitor your own systems end-to-end.
- Work in a flat engineering org with zero red tape, shipping constantly.
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of backend development experience.
- Experience in a high-growth startup environment owning systems from ideation to production.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, database performance, and API design.
- Experience building data-intensive services at scale.
- Experience with cloud-native infrastructure, including containers, orchestration, CI/CD, and observability.
- Strong ownership mindset with opinions on reliability and testing.
Nice to Have
- TypeScript/Node.js proficiency.
- Strong fundamentals in Python, Go, or similar languages.
- AI-Native workflow leveraging modern tools like Claude Code.
