About the Role

Convera is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Product & Technology (P&T) team. As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing scalable Salesforce solutions and integrations, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to support our rapid growth.

What You'll Do

  • Lead collaborative discussions as a technical leader within the Product & Technology team.
  • Partner with business leaders to define the systems architecture strategy to support rapid growth and scaling of GTM teams including Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Engineering, and Operations.
  • Provide expertise and guidance in Salesforce best practices, development methodologies, and code quality standards.
  • Work cross functionally across Product & Technology, GTM, and Operations to gain consensus from multiple stakeholders and lead major change efforts.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and performance optimization.
  • Stay up to date with Salesforce platform updates, new features, and industry trends, and proactively recommend solutions and enhancements.
  • Coordinate and manage Salesforce release updates, including sandbox management, change sets, and deployment activities.
  • Perform code reviews to identify and address potential issues, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability of the Salesforce platform.
  • Collaborate with Salesforce administrators and other teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Provide detailed level of effort estimates for proposed solutions and articulate the benefits and risks to a solution’s feasibility and functionality.
  • Oversee data quality standards to ensure consistency and reliability across all platforms.
  • Ensure proper documentation (i.e., architecture diagrams) of process flows between systems is maintained and implement/maintain connections between Salesforce and other business systems.
  • Continuously enhance your knowledge and skills through training, certifications, and participation in Salesforce user groups and events.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience in a similar position.
  • 5+ years as a Salesforce Developer.
  • Certifications: Salesforce Administrator, Platform Developer 1, Platform Developer 2, and Platform Application Builder.
  • Strong knowledge in Sales Cloud and Experience Cloud.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in Salesforce development, with a focus on Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com and supporting integrations, including Salesforce APIs, web services, and integration patterns (REST, SOAP, Bulk API, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and data modeling concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide efficient solutions.
  • Experience in working across a geographically disbursed / remote organization and with large scale transformation/modernization programs.
  • Strong mentoring skills as a senior technical leader for less experienced team members.
  • Ability to understand and support internal and external team members on the delivery and execution of complex projects.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with the following tools or similar: Copado, Gearset, AutoRABIT, Jenkins, GitLab, Github, CodeScan, PMD, Selenium, Copado Robotic Testing, Provar, Visual Studio Code.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including MS Office Suite, Visio, SharePoint, and Outlook.
  • Nice to have certifications and experience: Javascript Developer 1, Development Lifecycle and Deployment Architect, Ownbackup experience, and Copado Fundamentals 1 and 2 certification.
