As a Staff Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing systems that ensure trust and transparency in digital advertising. You'll lead the development of solutions that verify ad delivery, combat fraud, and deliver insights across connected TV and other digital platforms, handling immense data volumes with precision and speed.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and implementation of core measurement systems for connected TV, ensuring scalability and reliability
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineering teams, fostering strong engineering practices
- Drive the full software development lifecycle—from design and coding to testing, deployment, and documentation
- Collaborate with Product, Data, and Engineering teams to build systems that process tens of billions of daily transactions
- Define technical direction and influence strategic decisions across engineering initiatives
- Diagnose and resolve complex performance, scalability, and reliability challenges
- Advocate for best practices in code quality, security, and system design
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Software Engineering or a related STEM field
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with full-stack development using JavaScript, Java, or Golang
- Strong grasp of core programming concepts, including memory management and multi-threading
- Proven experience with AWS services such as EMR, Athena, and EKS
- Familiarity with big data technologies including Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, and distributed databases like DynamoDB or Aerospike
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
- Experience debugging web applications using browser developer tools
- Agile experience with Scrum or Kanban methodologies
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Background
- Experience in AdTech, particularly in connected TV (CTV) measurement
- Familiarity with streaming protocols such as HLS, DASH, and HTTPS
- Background in building systems for audio or video distribution across platforms
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native, distributed microservices
