CVS Health is hiring a Staff Security Engineer to develop and maintain our security platforms for Cyber Defense. This critical role ensures our security platforms remain functional and meet the needs of Cyber Defense within CVS Health's large, complex network environment.

What You'll Do

• Familiarize yourself with the capabilities of each tool in our security stack.
• Understand the standard operating procedures of the Security Platform team and its stakeholders.
• Onboard, parse, and monitor data for the security platform.
• Troubleshoot any potential issues with the security platform.
• Partner with systems and security architecture, application, databases, and storage teams.
• Create visualizations, queries, detections, and automations required for the functioning and use of the platform.
• Understand enterprise logs and acquire knowledge on the relevant processes needed for project delivery.
• Participate in the entire software lifecycle: development, testing, CI/CD, and production operations.
• Document platform processes, workflows, and systems for reference and knowledge-sharing purposes.
• Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of the data.
• Provide technical guidance and solutions for Cyber Defense team members.
• Be a team player and work with team members for business solutions and implementations.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of Information Security experience.
• 3+ years of admin experience with major datalake and/or SIEM platforms.
• 2+ years of experience with Python.
• 2+ years of experience with SQL or SQL-like languages.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with a major cloud platform (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience (HS diploma + 4 years of relevant experience).

Nice to Have

• 1+ year of experience with SOAR.
• 3+ years of experience with common scripting and programming languages such as Python, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• 3+ years of experience with SIEMs such as Splunk, ELK, LogRhythm, QRadar, Logpoint, Sentinel, Chronicle, etc.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
