Shape the future of quality at scale. As a Staff Quality Engineer, you'll be the technical leader responsible for defining and advancing test practices across your engineering pillar. You'll engage early in the software development lifecycle, influencing design and architecture decisions to ensure testability, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
What You'll Do
- Lead the development and execution of non-functional testing strategies, with a focus on performance, load, and scalability to support enterprise-level demands.
- Act as the primary technical authority for test processes, quality benchmarks, and automation standards within your team.
- Collaborate with engineering and product leaders during planning and design phases to surface risks, advocate for quality, and align testing efforts with business goals.
- Drive the adoption of AI-powered testing solutions—working with internal tools teams to implement intelligent test generation, failure analysis, and pipeline optimization.
- Mentor developers and quality engineers in best practices, fostering a culture where quality is a shared responsibility across engineering.
- Contribute directly to test automation using Python, Pytest, and modern frameworks, while guiding strategic allocation of QA efforts.
- Represent your pillar in cross-team leadership forums to align tooling, share insights, and improve system-wide quality outcomes.
- Identify and escalate technical debt, automation gaps, and resource constraints to ensure timely resolution and organizational support.
What We're Looking For
- 8–12+ years of experience in quality engineering or test automation, with a history of leading quality strategy across complex systems.
- Strong coding background in Python and experience with testing frameworks such as Pytest, Cypress, or Gherkin.
- Proven success in performance and scale testing for distributed, cloud-native applications.
- Ability to influence without authority, communicate clearly across teams, and champion quality at all levels.
- Experience evaluating and implementing AI-driven testing tools or frameworks is highly valued.
- Familiarity with AWS, API testing, and CI/CD pipelines in a remote-first environment.
