Enhesa is hiring a Staff Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Shape and refine the strategic direction of the internal developer platform, determining which capabilities to build, adopt, standardize, or deprecate.
  • Convert platform strategy into a clear roadmap with actionable priorities and measurable goals in collaboration with engineering leaders and platform teams.
  • Lead the design and ongoing improvement of platform features that enhance how engineering teams develop, deploy, monitor, and manage services.
  • Drive adoption of platform tools such as Backstage, Humanitec, Port, or similar solutions where applicable.
  • Develop standardized service templates, default configurations, guided workflows, and best practices to ensure consistent service delivery.
  • Determine appropriate levels of standardization versus flexibility, allowing iterative improvement of platform patterns over time.
  • Prioritize developer experience as a core platform objective.
  • Collaborate with engineers to identify pain points and enhance onboarding, documentation, APIs, command-line tools, templates, and support systems.
  • Implement methods to track platform effectiveness through developer productivity, adoption rates, system reliability, and reduced operational friction.
  • Utilize metrics such as DORA, SPACE framework, developer feedback, interviews, and usage data to inform decision-making and prioritization.
  • Define the interface between the platform and product engineering teams, including abstractions, service expectations, support protocols, and responsibility boundaries.
  • Apply deep expertise in observability and reliability to deliver clear service health insights and raise operational standards.
  • Work with engineering teams to strengthen telemetry, dashboards, operational readiness, and service-level expectations.
  • Mentor platform engineers to deepen their understanding of platform design and technical execution.
  • Foster growth opportunities for engineers in areas like developer experience, golden paths, automation, observability, and platform adoption.
  • Collaborate with engineering leadership, product teams, security, and operations to reduce friction and improve consistency across the engineering organization.
  • Stay informed about advancements in platform engineering, internal developer platforms, cloud-native technologies, DevOps, observability, and infrastructure automation.
