Responsibilities
- Manage and support a worldwide cloud network, including core routing, rack-level switching, virtual private networks, and application delivery controllers.
- Diagnose and resolve network problems, including time-sensitive incidents affecting operations.
- Take part in a round-the-clock on-call schedule covering weekends as a member of the Network Operations Engineering team.
- Operate scalable, software-defined infrastructure using automation platforms like Ansible and GitLab.
- Carry out system updates, version tracking, and security fixes across live environments.
- Monitor network performance indicators such as bandwidth usage, response times, and uptime to proactively avoid failures.
- Support networking operations across private data centers and hybrid cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- Work with Site Reliability Engineering teams to enhance system reliability and streamline operational workflows.
- Evaluate, plan, and implement changes and deployments to production systems.
- Develop and keep current comprehensive records of systems, automation scripts, and operational guidelines.
- Advise infrastructure architects and engage in planning discussions for upcoming projects.
- Collaborate with internal teams developing advanced networking and orchestration capabilities.
- Assess, integrate, and deploy new open-source and proprietary tools and technologies.
- Help build automated, low-intervention deployment pipelines that support frequent, reliable updates with minimal service disruption.
- Advance automation strategies to enable fast, consistent provisioning and maintenance across large environments.
